Our Services
Our Story
On the 2nd of December, 2022 (click to download the Act), the Institute of Mortgage Brokers and Lenders establishment bill was signed into law by the then President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari following the passing of the Bill by the House of Representatives in March of 2021 and the Senate in September of 2022. This spelt a new era dawned for the mortgage industry. Before the establishment of the institute, fraud was a common spoken language within the walls of the practice, quacks ruled the streets and men of means found loop holes in the system and exploited them for personal gain. How the tides have turned. Like a perfect painting it is a story that holds promise of better services, increased transparency, and economic stability. As it unfolds, like a magnet moving through a field of metallic pins, the institute seeks to bring together like-minded individuals to work hand in hand, across disciplines and sectors, to find creative solutions, develop practical strategies, and drive meaningful change. When this happens, we will create a housing landscape that not only meets the needs of our citizens but also contributes to a sustainable and prosperous future for all.
